Offices at LUMS

For the convenience of the LUMS community, dedicated administration offices are operational at LUMS from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday.   

Career Services Office

The Career Services Office facilitates placements and internships of LUMS graduates and also helps students in the pursuit of higher studies.

Facilities & Engineering

The Facilities and Engineering (F&E) Department at LUMS is responsible for maintaining all utilities at the campus such as electric supply, gas supply, water distribution, HVAC system and civil works.

Finance and Accounts

The Finance and Accounts Department manages all financial aspects related to the university like budgeting, accounts and management of the endowment funds.

General Administration and Services

The Department of General Administration Services provides services to the LUMS community, that include the disbursement of car entry stickers, transport facilities, booking of lounges and lawns, janitorial services and more.

Human Resource Department

The Human Resource Department at LUMS strives to attract the best talent in the market for its diverse range of administrative and academic departments. The idea is to retain and develop these employees to become future leaders.

The Department endeavours to ensure that employee well-being is given due importance at every step of the career ladder.

Information Systems and Technology

The Information Systems And Technology (IST) Department is responsible for maintaining the academic and administrative computing facilities at LUMS.

Library

It serves as the hub of knowledge and scholarships at University through its state-of-the-art integrated library system and user focused services, while operating 7 days a week until mid-night. In addition to more than 230,000 books and over 420 print journals, it offers remote access to more than 35,000 full text journals, thesis reports and 170,000 electronic books.

MBA Placement Office

The MBA Placement Office (MPO) works for the internships and job placements of MBA students. It aims to empower MBA graduates with strategic job search skills and guide them to gain a competitive edge in the employment market. MPO provides extensive support to its recruitment partners by organising various on-campus activities and coordinating off-campus interviews and briefings.

Office of Admissions

The Office of Admissions devises, implements and evaluates policies and criteria regarding admissions and evaluation of applicants to achieve a more effective and efficient admissions process.

Office of Financial Aid

All applications for financial assistance are examined and processed by the Office of Financial Aid. The aim is to make sure that a talented applicant, who gets admitted doesn’t defer admission, because of his/her inability to pay.

Office of Marketing, Fundraising and Alumni

The Office of Marketing, Fundraising and Alumni performs various important functions for the University. It is the convergence point for both internal and external stakeholders, including students, alumni, faculty, staff, donors, prospective students, visitors and others. Divided into a number of different areas according to function, there are teams handling marketing, fundraising and alumni affairs.

Office of Procurement

The Office of Procurement provides procurement support to the entire university. The department is the perfect mix of centralised and decentralised buying.

Office of Sponsored Programmes

Research - Innovation - Commercialization (ORIC)

The mission of Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is to provide comprehensive support to members of LUMS research community engaged in the preparation and submission of research proposals. Bringing funding opportunities to the attention of faculty members and instituting a process of routing and tracking of research proposals / awards. As steward of the university’s externally and internally funded research portfolio, the OSP is responsible for ensuring that all research proposals and projects adhere to LUMS’ academic and research policies and meet its obligations to sponsors. This office now been officially acclaimed as the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) by the HEC on December 28, 2011. ?

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) addresses the following areas: ?

  • Providing support to members of LUMS research community engaged in the preparation and submission of research proposals
  • Bringing funding opportunities to the attention of faculty members and instituting a process of routing and tracking of research proposals / awards
  • Serve as a clearing house for any patentable intellectual property and develop an IP for the university

Office of Student Affairs

The Office of Student Affairs addresses a wide array of aspects of student life on campus.

Office of the Registrar

The Office of the Registrar provides information regarding course enrollment, student records, as well as resources for faculty.

Office of the Vice Chancellor

The Office of the Vice Chancellor provides leadership and direction to the university through policy formulation, development and implementation. It ensures accountability and responsibility for efficient and effective observance with government and university rules, laws, regulations, policies and procedures.

 
The Office also facilitates, supports and enhances opportunities for the university to engage in new and innovative academic and research initiatives by assisting faculty, staff and administrators in the management and development of such projects.

Pepsi Dining Centre

The Pepsi Dining Centre (PDC) offers a diverse range of food for meals and snacks at very reasonable prices.

Programme Coordination Office

The Programme Coordination Office (PCO) of Suleman Dawood School of Business is responsible for managing the academic activities of the business school's programmes i.e. MBA, EMBA, PhD Management, BSc (Accounting and Finance), and now the recently launched BSc (Management Science) programme as well. The set of tasks handled by PCO include (but is not limited to) the scheduling of classes and examinations, handling of course material, student registrations in courses, preparation of academic calendars etc.

The office is also responsible for looking after External Relations which include; coordinating activities related to exchange students, visiting faculty, study tours and guest speaker sessions. The activities of MBA/EMBA Clubs and Societies are also organised by the PCO, SDSB. Some of the events which are conducted every year are Synergies, Marketing Colloquium and HR Confluence.

Rausing Executive Development Centre

Since 1989, the centre has been imparting executive education to local as well as international organisations with an aim to transform managers into progressive leaders. Housed in purpose built facility, REDC offers Open Enrollment Programmes and Organisation Focused Programmes; later are customised to a company’s specific needs.

Social Enterprise Development Centre

The LUMS Social Enterprise Development Centre (SEDC) is working towards capacity building of social enterprises since 2001. Its priority areas include governance, education, health, gender, and micro-finance/poverty reduction. SEDC harnesses LUMS resources and acts as a facilitator, by providing knowledge based learning to social sector organisations, based on its RTCD strategy i.e. Research Training Consultancy Dialogue

Sports Wellness and Recreation

The Office of Sports Wellness & Recreation is an integral part of LUMS community. We promote intra-mural, regional and national level intervarsity competitive sports for LUMS students, create health awareness and also encourage physical well-being by offering a wide range of opportunities. We aim to provide quality sports facilities and offer a blend of sports opportunities to the entire LUMS Community.
