About the Seminar
John Dillinger managed to escape prison twice but he is no match to the hepatitis C virus (HCV) which is known for escaping anti-viral regimen. The Department of Biology is using structural modeling and simulation to investigate the molecular mechanism through which HCV NS3 serine protease escapes the action of anti-viral drugs. Dr. Haider will discuss a robust method of predicting the response of protease inhibitors, under clinical development, against a series of NS3/4A mutants.
