Aqila Zaman

Aqila Zaman is currently teaching Wrting and Communication. She has a double Masters degree in English Language and Literature from Michigan University and Punjab University, in addition to an LLB degree. A Gold Medalist, she was a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, and also the Barbour Scholarship for Oriental Women. Aqila Zaman has over 30 years of teaching experience at different levels, and has been a resource person for language teaching and teacher training for SPELT (Society for Pakistan English Language Teachers), PACC (Pakistan American Cultural Center), TRC (Teachers Resource Centre), and the British Council.
Aqila Zaman has published over 500 articles/ short stories in various newspapers and magazines. These articles have been collected in a folder and placed in the LUMS library under the title "Flashback". Aqila's research focuses on social issues, and a greater part of her writing highlights gender related issues.

Research Interests
