How can I apply for scholarship?
Candidates who have applied for the financial aid at the time of admission application are considered for the award of loans and scholarships.
Once the student is granted admission to the programme the financial aid application of the candidate is moved to the financial aid office for the financial aid decision. The LUMS financial aid committee ascertains the need of the candidate and the LUMS loan is granted on need cum merit basis.
The students who are at a high need and merit and are short listed for LUMS loan are then further recommended for various scholarships provided that these students meet all the criteria set by the donors. If the scholarship is approved by the donor for that applicant the LUMS loan already granted to the student is converted to scholarship. There is no separate application form for the Scholarships; the financial aid application submitted at the time of admission application is the only form which needs to be filled to be considered for award of loans and scholarships. The financial aid committee holds the authority for recommendation of candidates for scholarships on need cum merit basis.

How does the round system work?
The purpose of first second and third admission cycle is to start processing the applications as soon as they are complete. A student's application is considered as complete when all of the requisite information and documents are in their file including the LMAT/GMAT test results. In short the application would be considered in round one if it is complete by the deadline for the round. Similarly if the application is complete by round 2 deadlines it would be consider in round 2 and so on. Hence if a student takes the test after the deadline for first cycle it is only natural that their application will be considered in the next cycle.
Will applying earlier benefit my application?
The application is considered complete when all of the requisite information and documents are on file including the test results. Your application would be considered in round one if it is complete by the deadline for the round. Similarly if your application is complete by round 2 deadlines it would be consider in round 2 and so on. However candidates are strongly encouraged to apply in the first and second rounds as the available space is limited by the third round.
May I apply using the paper application and send paper materials?
We only accept applications submitted electronically. This allows us to process your application more quickly. It also allows you to keep informed of the status of your application throughout the process by checking it online.
I have submitted the online portion of the application on time. However my supporting documents might arrive after the round deadline. Will my application be reviewed?
It is always better to send your supporting documents by the set deadline. This is because your application will only be evaluated once it is complete. If your application is completed after the deadline it will be reviewed for the next round or for the following intake (for last round applicants).
When is my application due? May I submit it late?
The application deadline for Round 1 2 & 3 is February 02 2012 March 08 2012 & April 18 2012 respectively. Late applications will not be accepted. Please complete your admissions application online. By doing so you can track the status of the application.
To be included in a specific round applications must be completed and submitted by the specified deadline. A complete application includes all supporting documents and the online portions of the application. In order to avoid any last minute difficulties we highly encourage applicants to submit their complete application one to two weeks before the application deadline. Due to the given volume of application received we are unable to give any information about applications over the phone.
It is always better to send your supporting documents in advance of the set deadline. This is because your application will only be evaluated once it is complete. If your application is completed after the deadline it will be reviewed for the next round.

What is the minimum score required in GMAT/LMAT for admission?
There is no minimum required score. LUMS does not follow a pattern of fixed test score merit. The short listing of candidates is dependent on all admission criteria i.e. academic ranking test scores and interview performance. Please keep in mind that the GMAT/ LMAT is just one of several admission criteria. A high score does not guarantee admission and a below average score does not eliminate a candidate.
