ASP-LUMS Conducts Leadership and Cultural Change Training
USAID-funded Assessment and Strengthening Programme (ASP) conducted their Leadership and Cultural Change Training Programme for top policy level officials at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) from September 15-16, 2012.
Top managers from the Public Sector and Civil Society Organisations attended the training and found the sessions on Leadership, Change Management, Institutional Change and Leadership for the 21st century very inspiring and stimulating. The participant group was an excellent mix of officials from all over Pakistan (Punjab, Sind, Khyber Pakhtun Khan, and Baluchistan) including officials from USAID-funded projects. This is the first course of ASP where top level Government of Pakistan officials have attended.
Prominent USAID officials from Pakistan and abroad also attended the Leadership and Cultural Change Programme. The Programme used interactive methods for enhancing learning through active involvement of the participants. Case studies and lectures were used as the two primary techniques of learning.
The training was led by Dr. Zafar Iqbal Qureshi, Cheif of Party ASP along with Dr. Arif Nazir Butt, Dean LUMS Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) and Dr. Bushra Naqvi, Asst. Professor at SDSB.
