LUMS Faculty to Attend International Finance Conferences
Dr. Hammad Siddiqi, Assistant Professor Economics at School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, LUMS will be presenting his research on the implications of thinking by analogy for financial markets at two international conferences, the 2012 Global Finance Conference and 3rd World Finance Conference.
The 2012 Global Finance Conference will be held in Chicago from May 23 to 25, 2012 and is being hosted by Depaul University. The theme of the conference is "Financial Crises, Systematic Risk, and the Future of Capitalism".
The 3rd World Finance Conference will take place in Rio De Janeiro from July 2 to 4, 2012. These conferences are the leading platforms for interactions between practitioners and academics and prove to be very beneficial as academic research of particular relevance to practitioners is presented.
Dr. Siddiqi did his MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi in 1999 and obtained his PhD from Northern Illinois University in 2005. His research interests include Financial Economics, behavioral economics and finance, experimental economics, applied game theory and microfinance.
