Chemistry Students Receive Multiple PhD Fellowship Offers
Muhammad Affawn Ashraf, a senior year student at the Department of Chemistry, School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE) has received a number of PhD offers from various universities. After getting an exceptional score in the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) in Chemistry, Affawn has been offered fully funded PhD scholarship offers from Carnegie Mellon University, University of South Carolina and Michigan State University.
This is a great achievement for the School of Science and Engineering in general and the Department of Chemistry in particular, as only two senior year undergraduate students majoring in Chemistry, were interested in pursuing graduate studies and both have been offered fully funded PhD scholarships from top-notch universities in North America. Zain Yousaf was the first in his undergraduate batch to receive an offer from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) which is ranked among the top-five universities in the world for their graduate programmes in Chemistry.
