Spring 2012 LUMS Faculty Travel Grants Announced
The LUMS Faculty Travel Grants (FTG) for Spring 2012 were awarded today to nine LUMS faculty members to support their research-related international travel this semester. The FTG awards are announced twice a year (Fall and Spring) to LUMS full-time faculty. In addition to various other research resources available to LUMS faculty, these travel grants are one more way in which the University invests in the career and research of our full-time faculty at various stages of their academic careers. Unlike other School- and department-specific research support, the FTG awards, like the Faculty Initiative Fund awards are University-wide in scope and were instituted to encourage and facilitate faculty research.
Selected from a number of excellent applications from all three Schools, the 9 awards are in addition to the 10 FTGs which were funded earlier this Fall in the first round of funding for the year.
