LUMS AWL Conducts MLA Referencing Workshops

The Academic Writing Lab (AWL) arranged for two sessions of workshop on MLA Citation and Referencing on Thursday, February 28, 2012, at LUMS’ SS and NIB auditoriums.

Both sessions were well-attended, where six of the seven new tutors presented during the sessions. Each workshop was divided into three parts. During the first part, students were introduced to the MLA Citation Style and latter parts dealt with in-text citations and how the cited pages work.

Towards the end of the workshop, the house was opened for a question answer session, which extended beyond the workshop slot.

This was the first workshop from AWL this semester, which helped a great deal in setting up the momentum for remaining semester at LUMS.
