Research Interests
My PhD explored the construction of the locality and identities in a Muslim-majority neighbourhood in Delhi. This research deconstructed the category 'Muslim women' through the narrative approach. Since completing my PhD, I have been studying the relationship of women's movements in India and Pakistan with religion as well as the role of religion in women's rights advocacy in Muslim communities in general.
