Objective of the Workshop:

This consultative workshop forms a crucial part of the project,  “The Determinants, Impact and Cost Effectiveness of Climate Change Adaptation in the Indus Ecoregion”, which is being undertaken by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature – Pakistan (WWF-P), with funding from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC). This workshop will particularly focus on ‘Sample Design’, with the aim of establishing a framework for the project. The themes of discussion, which range from micro-econometric analysis of climate change adaptation strategies to political economy concerns and constraints, promise to facilitate healthy debate on the issue of Climate Change Adaptation in Pakistan.

The participants include some of the most illustrious names within the fields of Environmental Sciences, Law and Policy and through this workshop we hope to maximize the knowledge, expertise, experience and opinions that inform this project.
