Malik Jahan Khan Successfully Defends His PhD Dissertation
Malik Jahan Khan, a PhD candidate at the Department of Computer Science has successfully defended his PhD dissertation, announced the Final Defense Committee at LUMS SSE.
His dissertation work ‘Achieving Self-Management Capabilities in Autonomic Systems Using Case-Based Reasoning‘ was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Shafay Shamail and Dr. Mian Muhammad Awais. His thesis abstract and publication list is available here.
The Final Defense Committee comprised Asim Karim, PhD (FDC Coordinator), Omer F Rana, PhD (External Examiner), Shafay Shamail, PhD, Mian Muhammad Awais, PhD and Shahid Masud, PhD.
Malik Jahan Khan will be joining Dr. Onaiza Maqbool, Dr. Tauqeer Hussain, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Aamir, Dr. Muhammad Yousaf Hamza, Dr. Faheem Sheikh and Dr. Arif Mahmood, who have previously received the conferment of this Degree from the Department of Computer Science at LUMS SSE.
Khan expressed his gratitude for LUMS and the Department of Computer Science, which according to him have provided him ‘a great learning and grooming opportunity.’ About his time at LUMS, he said, “I have enjoyed myself and learnt a lot here and it has been my spiritual home. Thanks LUMS!”
