Khawar Sarfraz

Khawar Sarfraz received his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from GIK Institute, Topi, Pakistan in 2000 and M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering (specialization: Microelectronics) from Delft University of Technology, Delft, the Netherlands in 2009. His Masters thesis was based on the design of an ultra-low-power consuming embedded SRAM architecture, which was carried out at NXP Semiconductors, Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He is the recipient of the TU Delft Top Talent Scholarship and the NXP Semiconductor's Scholarship.
He has been associated with the electronics design industry for over 7 years. He started his career in 2000 as a Design Engineer with Communications Enabling Technologies, Pakistan. As a FPGA/Hardware Design Engineer, he has worked on the design of telecom test equipment (primarily for Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies) at ECS Technology Ltd, UK from 2001 to 2003. He was Senior Design Engineer at RWR Pvt. Ltd., Pakistan during 2004 where he worked on the design of aerospace electronic systems. He was Electronic Design Consultant (part time) at Ayenbee Engineering Ltd, Pakistan from 2004 to 2007, where he was involved in the design of automotive electronic systems. During that time, he was also associated with Mobilink, Pakistan as a Radio Frequency Planning Specialist (full time). He joined LUMS SSE-EE in 2009 as a full-time faculty member
