Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering’s 19th Advisory Board Meeting was opened by the Vice Chancellor LUMS, Dr. Arshad Ahmad who also shared an update on the latest developments at the University. The meeting held with the aim to discuss the School’s strategic planning for the next ten years also included discussions on important matters related to the School and how its research is providing practical solutions to issues facing the society.
Dr. Ahmad provided the School’s Advisory Board with a comprehensive overview of campus life, the current financial position, key initiatives and future goals of the University. “We are making strategic investments that will enable us to build on our strengths and advance rapidly the areas in which we cannot afford to fall behind. We have great initiatives under way and many more to accomplish and we hope to do it all in collaboration with you,” he added.
The meeting continued with Dr. Shahid Masud, Dean SBASSE presenting the School’s updates as well as a response to last year’s Advisory Board Report. The Department Chairs further shared the vision, status and strategy of the departments, their research and achievements of their respective faculty members and students.
