About the speaker
Mr. Asif Jooma, Chief Executive, ICI Pakistan Limited, started his career in the corporate sector with ICI Pakistan in 1983 and has over 30 years of extensive experience in senior commercial and leadership roles. Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive of ICI Pakistan, Mr. Jooma served as Managing Director, Abbott Laboratories Pakistan Limited from 2007 to 2013.
A Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Economics from Boston University, Mr. Jooma has previously served as President of the American Business Council, President of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Member of the Board of Investment, Government of Pakistan and Chairman of the Pharma Bureau. He is currently on the Board of Governors of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture (IVSAA), and is also a Trustee of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards Programme. Mr. Jooma strongly believes in social causes and is one of the Trustees of ICI Pakistan Foundation, which runs various community-based programmes in the areas of disaster management, education and health. His hobbies include travelling, playing golf and interior designing.
