Mr. Shahzad Rasheed - CTO Enterprise Business Group, Huawei Pakistan
Mr. Rasheed is currently working as Chief Technical Officer, Enterprise Business Group at Huawei; the leading global provider of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices. He has over 19 years of experience in the ICT industry and has contributed in the digitisation of enterprises across the Middle East and Africa. Before starting at Huawei in 2019, he worked as Lead Solution Architect at IBM for more than 2 years and as a Consulting Systems Engineer at Cisco Systems for over 11 years for Telco, FSI and other Global Service Providers in the Middle East and Africa, where he was responsible for Virtually Managed Services, Data Centre, Virtualisation and Cloud Architecture. Mr. Rasheed continues to contribute in the digitisation of the banking sectors and opening avenues for the Fintech industry in Pakistan. He graduated from LUMS with an Executive MBA and a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore in electronics engineering.
Mr. Ali Imran Khan - Executive Vice President, Head of Digital Banking & PMO, Meezan Bank Ltd.
Mr. Khan is an IT leader with a demonstrated history of working in Financial Sector and Capital Markets. He has been working at Meezan Bank for over 12 years and is currently leading the function of Branchless Banking & Digital Initiatives there, with the responsibility of digital transformation of every layer of the Bank. He has worked in bringing greater efficiencies to existing IT Services and introduced new capabilities to take the organisation to the next level. With exposure to every vertical of IT including Business Technology Alignment, Business and Back Office Automation, IT Governance, Project Management, Quality Assurance, IT Service Management, Information Security, Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery Management, he has contributed in establishing a strong control environment and managed the Internal, External and Regulatory Audits starting from review to compliance. Mr. Khan graduated from Karachi School of Business and Leadership with a Master’s of Business Administration and holds a Bachelor’s degree in commerce along with diplomas and international certifications in the field of computer science.
Dr. Ussama Yaqub - Assistant Professor, Suleman Dawood School of Business, LUMS
A Fulbright scholar, Dr. Yaqub obtained his PhD in Management Information Systems from Rutgers Business School, Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. His research focuses on social media data analyses, including sentiment and behaviour analyses, data mining and studying the use of Twitter for campaigning during general elections. He has published in international journals and conference proceedings such as Government Information Quarterly, ACM Digital Government: Research & Practice and ACM Digital Government Research. He holds an MBA from LUMS and has six years of work experience in the areas of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing. Prior to his PhD, he had been working as Assistant Manager - Micro-Segmentation in the Business Intelligence department at Telenor Pakistan and as a Consultant at Teradata Global Consulting Centre.
