APQN 15th Annual Academic Conference was held from 29th-30th March, 2019 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo - Sri Lanka. The theme of the conference was ‘Quality Assurance in Asia-Pacific Region: Insight into the Future’. Dean and Manager QEC attended the conference as representatives of LUMS. Main objective of the conference was to bring together QA representatives from Asia Pacific region and strengthening the work of quality assurance organizations. Moreover, extending the cooperation between them through sharing actualities and current issues.

The conference routed around two keynote addresses, four plenary sessions and five parallel sessions. Mr. Jamlil Salmi, Global Tertiary Education Expert and Mr. Peter J. Wells, Chief of Higher Education, UNESCO delivered keynotes to the addressees.

The conference was focused on the advancing of quality assurance in Asian higher education institutions. Moreover, it was a remarkable platform to share the mutual barriers and best practices to deal with the issues.

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) follows a continuous process of improvement to ensure a quality product. The mutual concerns discussed regarding the implementation of quality culture at institutional level will be valuable in addressing the similar issues faced at LUMS.
