Fauji Fertilizer Company Campus Drive 2019 at LUMS

LUMS Is ranked among top 200-250 universities as per QS Graduate Employability Rankings and these are not only the statistics but definitely have a meaning behind. LUMS continuous efforts towards taking number of initiatives, be it the recruitment drives, career fairs or industry collaborations and rectruitment partners pay back when 99% of the graduates bag well-reputed jobs in the renowned companies as ambassadors of LUMS. Such frequent initiatives at LUMS get students exposed to different multinational companies to display their skills and talents. Moreover, it povides with a platform where different representatives from different companies introduce their companies and agendas and those looking for talent recruit LUMS students when both companies and students are able to interact on one-common platform of opportunities, LUMS.  

In line with this promise, Fauji Fertilizer Company conducted recruitment drive for their Management Trainee Programme for engineers and chemists on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Academic Block, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Col.Rtd. Shahid Bashir Khan, Deputy Manager, HR started the session by giving a brief introduction of the company. Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) is the largest fertilizer manufacturer of Pakistan with market share of 52 percent in the country. FFC was established in 1978, as a joint venture of Fauji Foundation and Haldor Topsoe A/S of Denmark. The first urea complex was commissioned in 1982. They are working in 5 Sectors namely, Fertilizer, Energy, Food, Cement and Financial Services. FFC is ranked as No.1 Company in Pakistan Stock Exchange for seven consecutive years since 2010. He also shared the vision, mission and values of company. He further elaborated about the facilities for their employees that include state-of-the- art education for the children, accommodation, medical and transportation.

In the end, he talked about their Management Trainee Programme and the hiring process that includes:

The session concluded with an interactive question and answer session. After the session, they conducted interviews of BS Electrical Engineering students for hiring and recruitment purposes of potential candidates.
