The Rausing Executive Development Center (REDC) at LUMS carried out a successful three-day programme from November 7 - 9, 2019 on Leadership Development for the senior management for a leading bank of Pakistan.
Aligned with the organisation’s learning and development needs a customised programme was designed by expert faculty members in the area; Dr. Muhammad Abdur Rahman Malik and Dr. Arif Nazir Butt, based on the bank’s key competencies including leadership, team management, interpersonal skills and relationship orientation.
The programme addressed the challenges of being a visionary leader, leading systemic change, driving culture and communication, resolving conflicts in teams, change management and team building. The lectures were strengthened with advanced learning methodologies, exercises, discussions, simulations, readings, case studies and video cases etc.
The three-day programme received high appreciation with senior managers from the bank, who said that programmes like these are very important in order to nurture leadership skills in professionals at the middle or middle-upper level.
