What role does experiential learning play in the Baltistan Experience?
'Immerse, Interact and Impact' capture the vision of this twinning programme that was conceived in the fall of 2021 and is now underway in its second year. Immersion in natural settings in Skardu is the gift of deep learning that participants will remember forever.
What is your message for the 2023 cohort?
I couldn't be more proud of the intense interest from students and the extraordinary commitment from faculty to take this programme to a new level this year. Hundreds of LUMS and UoBS students are interacting and transforming each others perspectives. And the impact is continuously amplified as new projects branch out from designed outcomes that focus on resolving community issues.

Students taking ‘The Universe Around Us’ course were in for a treat as they took a trip to the Sarfaranga Desert for a night of stargazing. They spent the evening observing stars and galaxies, identifying different constellations, and took some stunning photographs along the way!

'Law, Tourism and Environment’ students stopped by a museum in Skardu as part of a class activity. They were accompanied by renowned Balti historian, linguist and writer, Mr. Yousaf Hussain Abdi, who also founded the museum. Students explored the collection of over 1,700 artifacts, books, photographs, and historical documents.
