Asad is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive knowledge and experience in assurance and business advisory. He did his MBA in entrepreneurship from University of Wisconsin, Madison with specialisation in analysing business startups and private equity markets. At Madison, Asad represented the school at various venture capital investment and business plan competitions and won numerous awards and grants. He also teamed up with a scientist and wrote a business plan around her proprietary technology which later was launched into a business. Asad was involved in launching Entrepreneurship Association, a not-for-profit organisation funded by the US government, with the mission to provide consulting services to SMEs and business startups. Asad has considerable experience in the areas of financial audit, business valuation, and family business planning and has provided a wide range of consulting services to small and medium businesses in the United States and Pakistan. Currently, he is teaching financial reporting and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and entrepreneurship to Executive MBA, MBA and BSc. students. He is also involved in providing consulting services to many business startups and NGOs in Pakistan and is involved in coaching and mentoring MNCs and NGOs through Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) and Social Enterprise Development Centre (SEDC) at LUMS.
