Administrative Offices
The student experience is at the heart of all administrative activity at LUMS. These offices prioritise linkages between student, faculty and staff to promote intellectual growth and create a world-class learning experience.
- Office of Advancement
The Office combines the four quadrants of Marketing, Communications, Development and Alumni Relations under a single umbrella. These functions work together in synergy to communicate a compelling narrative, strengthen relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and facilitate sustainable growth for the University.
The Office of the Registrar (RO) is the hub for university student/administrative activities. It is responsible for documenting the University’s academic policies and procedures, coordinating with different stakeholders and facilitating to improve the LUMS national/international ranking.
The Office of Student Affairs works with the vibrant student community to deliver high quality programmes that define student wellness, quality on-campus residence, employability and flexible learning opportunities to promote new thoughts and interests.
The Career Services Office (CSO) offers an ever-increasing range of services to undergraduate and graduate students in all areas of career planning - including jobs, internships, and higher education placements.
The Office is responsible for admissions at LUMS. The University is keen to attract students who are academically sound, but also have the potential to contribute to the learning environment.
The Housing Office oversees the activities of the Residential Colleges and deals with all aspects of on-campus residence, including student housing, accommodation, repairs and maintenance. They ensure that students are safe, comfortable and enjoy their on-campus residence.
The Office of Financial Aid makes every effort that deserving students (based on assessed financial need and within available resources) can be provided appropriate financial assistance to make it possible for them to pursue quality education at LUMS.
- Office of Accessibility and Inclusion
The Office of Accessibility and Inclusion aims to address issues related to rights pertaining to disability, gender, sexuality, minorities and more and provide a barrier-free work and education environment to all individuals, and to facilitate them towards equitable access to learning, research and life on campus.
- Office of Programme Enhancement (OPE)
The Office of Programme Enhancement (OPE) is the institutional research office with a mission to support quality assurance and to assist the evaluation and planning efforts of the University’s senior administration. It aims to achieve its mission by supporting internal quality assessment mechanisms that involve periodic review of academic programs as well as collection, analysis and reporting of institutional data for various stakeholders.
The Office of International Affairs (OIA) is responsible for coordinating, developing and expanding the scope of the University’s global footprint and international initiatives. The Office acts as a liaison between internal and international entities, facilitates international collaboration in line with global standards, and serves as the source of international opportunities, information and resources.
The Office of Research provides comprehensive support to members of the LUMS research community that are engaged in the preparation and submission of research proposals.
The LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP) is a prestigious scholarship focusing on identifying meritorious students with financial constraints and inducting them into the University’s undergraduate programmes.
The Gad & Birgit Rausing Library at LUMS serves as a centre for information resources and knowledge for faculty, researchers and students. It offers a wide range of collections, qualified staff, high quality infrastructure, and innovative services.
Support Functions
Different support functions work closely to facilitate academic and research based strategic initiatives at the University.
Human Resources at LUMS strives to create and sustain a work environment which attracts, motivates, develops, rewards and retains the highest calibre of talent.
- Procurement Office
This department provides procurement support to the entire University. The Office’s work is an efficient mix of centralised and decentralised buying.
Information Systems and Technology supports academic and administrative computing systems across the campus and spearheads IT initiatives for faculty, staff and students.
- Facilities and Engineering
The Facilities and Engineering (F&E) Department at LUMS is responsible for maintaining all utilities on campus such as electric supply, gas supply, water distribution, HVAC system and civil works.
- Finance Department
The Finance Department handles all financial matters related to account receivables, account payables, taxation, treasury, financial reporting, budgeting and planning.
- General Administration Services Department (GAS)
The General Administration & Services (GAS) office is responsible for providing support to all the activities of the University, in coordination with other departments.
