Jovera Shakeel
BSc Economics and Mathematics
Jovera is an exceptional Economics and Mathematics student from the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences. A Dean’s Honour List scholar throughout her time at LUMS, she led her team to first place at the 2025 LUMS Economics Conference. In 2020, she received a UNDP grant to launch Mukhtalif, a non-profit e-commerce platform for marginalised artisans. She has presented her research at the 6th International Congress of Applied Statistics at Ankara University and the IBA SBS International Conference. Jovera will pursue an MSc in Economics for Development at Oxford as the Rhodes Scholar-Elect 2025 for Pakistan.
