REDC hosts Executive Development Programme on Building Influence Through Effective Negotiation Skills
The Rausing Executive Development Centre at LUMS hosted a four-day programme on developing negotiation skills necessary for effective management in challenging environments. The 4-day open enrollment programme on Negotiation Skills was conducted from May 24- 27, 2022.
The programme was directed by Arif N. Butt joined by Abdul Rehman Malik as teaching faculty. Through experiential tools, lectures and interactive analysis, participants learned to change the way they view and evaluate action alternatives in competitive situations.
The programme is designed to specifically enhance executives’ confidence and ability at the negotiating table to gain strategic advantage and was very well received by the participants from diverse areas of expertise.
Amir Habib, Head of Operations, Fauji Cement said it is an “excellent, well-crafted course. It is a good choice to increase and diversify your skill set.” Khurram Jawad Khawaja, Additional Director, Defense Housing Authority Lahore, called it a “very informative, and interactive course.”
The main emphasis of the programme is on verbal and non-verbal negotiation, personality & negotiation process, and intra-organisational conflicts.

The programme provided participants with the opportunity to learn effective tactics and strategies to resolve negotiating deadlocks and improve their ability while negotiating in groups and as individuals.
