Group Head, British American Tobacco, Gives Talk at LUMS

Ms. Ulla de Hondt, Group Head of Global Business Solutions (GBS) at British American Tobacco (BAT), visited LUMS to share her insights on successful leadership strategies. Ms Hondt is an accomplished business leader with over three decades of experience of leveraging technology to create efficiencies across large organisational structures.
The team from BAT also discussed different avenues of collaboration with the senior leadership at LUMS including Dr. Arshad Ahmad, Vice Chancellor; Mr. Mohammed Ali Khan, Executive Director, Strategic Initiatives and Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, Director of Advancement. Representative of the SDSB Luminites Association were also present and shared insights with the BAT team that included Mr. Shahid Afzal, Regional Head of GBS Finance, Ms. Emma Ridley, Head of Transformation; Mr. Zubair Khan, General Manager; Ms. Maham Khan, Head of Human Resources, and Ms. Neshay Aqueel, Legal & External Affairs Counsel.
The session was attended by LUMS faculty, staff, and students and was designed to provide valuable insights into successful business strategies. Ms. Hondt shared her personal experiences and the techniques she used in different leadership positions over the course of her career. The talk was followed by a question-and-answer session.
