BSc 1997 Meets After 25 Years!
The class of BSc 1997 reunited after 25 years to reminisce and create new memories. The reunion on December 24, 2022, was held at A-8, one of the oldest auditoriums at LUMS.
The events began with an icebreaker session moderated by Sadia Sheikh, followed by an insightful session conducted by Dr. Taimur Rahman, Associate Professor, Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences. The session ‘1997-2022 and Beyond: Making an Impact in a Changing World’, was a group discussion that focused on the various shifts that occurred from 1997 to 2022 at LUMS.
The alumni then embarked on a tour of the campus, which proved to be a trip down memory lane as they visited all the schools, classes, study and dining areas across the University and recalled their time at LUMS.
Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, MBA 1988 alum and Director, Office of Advancement at LUMS welcomed the attendees to the lunch hosted in their honour. Dr. Tariq Jadoon, Provost, and faculty members and staff were also present.
The alumni also got to experience the mystique and charm of androon Lahore during the ‘Roshan Galliyan’ tour, which included a rickshaw ride, guided visits to the Akbari Mandi, Wazir Khan Mosque, and Gali Surjan Singh, and cultural performances. The memorable evening concluded with refreshments and snacks at the Qalandar Café.
