LUMS Business School Launches Three New MS Programmes
Business leadership today requires one to stay on top of the rapidly changing business landscape. To keep up with these global developments, the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) at LUMS will be offering three new Master of Science (MS) programmes from Fall 2020 — MS in Business and Public Policy, Technology Management and Entrepreneurship, and Healthcare Management and Innovation.
The Suleman Dawood School of Business is Pakistan’s first business school to achieve the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International accreditation enjoyed by only 5% of business schools worldwide. These new MS degrees are 1.5 years degree programmes which will equip graduates with high-level requisite knowledge in functional business areas including Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Marketing and Strategy. A field project is also part of the degree to enable practical engagement and application of your knowledge within an organisation.
Master of Science in Business and Public Policy
The Master of Science in Business and Public Policy combines diverse aspects of business and public policy. It will equip students with knowledge, understanding and experience relating to the management of modern public organisations.
The MS Programme employs tools and insights stemming from management, economics and policy to analyse a range of issues. It aims to provide business perspectives tied to leadership in public policy–related occupational spaces and in public sector, non-governmental, chambers of commerce, consulting firms, and civil society organisations.
Master of Science in Technology Management and Entrepreneurship
The Master of Science in Technology Management and Entrepreneurship fuses modern business administration with state-of-the-art technology management approaches. It will offer students robust training in the qualitative, quantitative, and innovative aspects of technology and innovation.
Through hands-on learning, pitch competitions and a host of personal and professional challenges, the MS Programme will pair classroom learning with practical work to develop, validate, prototype and apply innovative technological or social solutions tied to emerging problems and opportunities.
Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Innovation
The Master of Science in Healthcare Management and Innovation will equip students to become a leader in healthcare, to design innovations suited to community needs, and to create value for their stakeholders.
The MS Programme will develop students’ knowledge of the design, building and management of sustainable organisations combined with insights into challenges posed in healthcare. Building on the solid business curriculum followed in the first semester, the Programme will delve into dimensions of healthcare management with exposure to "big picture" issues of health systems as well as the challenges of managing and launching healthcare businesses.
A variety of financial support options are available to all eligible local and international applicants. To enrol in the MS Programmes, applicants must submit the complete online application form by April 28, 2020 5:00 pm (Pakistan Standard Time).
