In our next episode, we are excited to welcome Shazia Ali Khan (MBA 1998), a corporate powerhouse turned creative whiz. Shazia began her career as a Brand Manager at Unilever, but her passion for storytelling led her to pursue filmmaking after studying at the London Film Academy. Her debut feature film, Pinky Memsaab (2018), was a breakthrough success, winning Best Film at the UK Asian Film Festival in 2019. The film also streamed worldwide on Netflix for four years and earned global critical acclaim.
She has also produced and directed Talking Divas for ARY London and created impactful documentaries highlighting social causes in Africa and South Asia, in collaboration with renowned organisations like The Citizens Foundation and School Aid.
Shazia’s work has taken her across the UK, South Africa, and the UAE, where she now runs her own production house. Based in Dubai, she continues to bring powerful stories to life, all while mentoring the next generation of filmmakers as an adjunct professor at Middlesex University.
