The Gurmani Centre for Languages and Literature is delighted to invite you to a special session titled 1947, Migration, and the Artist, based on Shahid Siddiqui's book Aasmān Dar Aasmān.
This session will explore the profound effects of the 1947 Partition and migration on fine arts and creative culture. We will examine how migration reshaped the creative narrative of the subcontinent and how artists integrated the experiences of pain, separation, and longing into their work.
