November 6, 2024 to November 17, 2024
You are cordially invited to a group art show organised as a collateral to Lahore Biennale 03’s Climate Congress, of which several sessions will be held at LUMS. The artworks displayed in this exhibition are profound aesthetic expressions of the tension that, in many ways, defines our civilisation—the tension between “progress” and preservation. These works use a range of artistic techniques and mediums to bring forth this tension and lay bare the physical, environmental, and psychological toll that urbanisation, mass consumption, and population growth have had on human societies.
The exhibition has been curated by Dr. Nadhra Shabaz Khan, Associate Professor of art and architectural history at the Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences, LUMS.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition will take place Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5 to 7:30 pm. The exhibition will remain on display until November 17, 2024, from 10 am to 7 pm daily.
