The Colloquium in the Study of Religion at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences is pleased to announce its first talk of the fall semester: “Orientalism, Bolshevism, and Debt: Reflections on the Origins of Islamic Economics.” Professor Markus Daeschel from Royal Holloway, University of London, will explore the intersection of religion, culture, politics, and economics in his lecture on Friday, September 13.
