LUMS and PharmEvo Explore Avenues for Collaboration

On March 6, 2023, a meeting was held at LUMS with representatives from PharmEvo (Pvt.) Ltd., a Karachi-based company engaged in manufacturing and marketing of high-quality pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products, to discuss potential avenues for collaboration. Syed Jamshed Ahmed, Deputy CEO, Dr. Masood Jawaid, Director Medical Affairs and Learning Innovations, and Mr. Mohsin Sheraz Ali, Director Marketing from PharmEvo met with Dr. Tariq Jadoon, Provost, Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, Director, Office of Advancement, Ms. Aisha Azhar, Director, Rausing Executive Development Centre, and Mr. Anas Ashraf Ali, Head of Development, Office of Advancement at LUMS.
PharmEvo representatives discussed the company’s CSR initiatives under its Institute of Leadership Excellence, including courses aimed at inculcating leadership qualities in medical practitioners. They expressed interest in collaborating with faculty at LUMS to design and develop customised training programmes, workshops, and certificate courses for physicians on healthcare leadership and innovation. Additionally, they offered to provide intellectual, social, and financial capital for the publication of local case studies in the same area.
The discussion also centred around the pharmaceutical industry's potential to drive innovation and research. To this end, a partnership between PharmEvo's Institute of Leadership Excellence and the Rausing Executive Development Centre, LUMS, was discussed, with a view to offering customised training programmes for the medical fraternity.
