February 11 marks the "International Day for Women and Girls in Science", to promote the full and equal access of women in the fields of science and technology. In celebration of this day, the Centre of Excellence in Responsible Business (CERB) at the Pakistan Business Council is partnering with Engro Polymer & Chemicals Ltd. on a virtual panel to discuss the country's progress in promoting women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
Moderated by CERB, a panel discussion will take place with industry leaders from the business, academia, and non-profit sectors. They will bring their expertise and insight to raise awareness of creating equitable workplaces for women, encouraging not only their entry but willingness to stay in industries such as manufacturing, construction, scientific research, and engineering.
Through this webinar, CERB aims to capture the steps taken by the organisations gracing this panel to create safe and dignified workplaces for the country’s pool of female talent. It also intends to inspire an upcoming generation of talented Pakistani women to pursue careers in STEM with passion and enthusiasm.
