With 75 million internet users in Pakistan, digital economy is playing a key role in the pandemic and e-commerce is emerging as a major pillar in the global fight against COVID-19. At the same time, e-commerce is helping preserve jobs during the crisis and entrepreneurship is increasingly becoming popular. For many restaurants that have had to close during the economic freeze, online delivery services have become a lifeline. Teachers and consultants are continuing to work through video conferencing.

Mr. Badar Khushnood, Co-founder Fishry.com and Executive in Residence, School of Business, LUMS
Mr. Khushnood is a co-founder of Fishry.com, a pay-as-you-grow e-commerce web store builder. He also co-founded one of the leading digital media agencies, Bramerz. He serves as an 'Executive in Residence' at the Business School at LUMS and represents P@SHA at the 'National E-commerce Council' constituted by the Ministry of Commerce. Mr. Khushnood has previously consulted for Google, Facebook and Twitter as their 1st person-on-ground in Pakistan and is a founding board member and mentor at several start-up incubators and accelerators.
Ms. Fatima Rizwan, CEO and Founder Plutwo.com
Ms. Rizwan is a software engineer turned entrepreneur. She is the founder of Plutwo.com, an e-learning platform allowing experts to teach online and make money. She previously founded TechJuice.pk, Pakistan’s leading technology media company covering tech and entrepreneurship, and bootstrapped it to 5 million monthly active users. Its clients included the likes of Huawei, Samsung, Microsoft, Google and Facebook. She was selected as an ‘Emerging Leader of Pakistan’ by the US Department of State. Ms. Rizwan is a graduate of the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.
Mr. Asfandyar Farrukh, Managing Director, Urban Brands
Mr. Asfandyar has a combined experience of over 14 years in the areas of fashion retail, manufacturing and exports of leather goods and e-Commerce. He is the Managing Director of Urban Brands, an organisation that owns and operates three diverse retail brands of Pakistan. He is also Senior Vice Chairman, Chainstore Association of Pakistan in addition to Member, National E-commerce Council, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan.
