CSO Holds Webinar on Higher Education
The Career Services Office (CSO) at LUMS held a Higher Education Webinar as a part of its Webinar Series on September 2, 2022. The theme of the webinar was ‘Social Sciences/Humanities and Law Graduate School’. The webinar was held with the aim to provide students with the knowledge that a discipline different from their major can also be chosen as a post-graduate degree to add diversity to their future careers if they deem it right. The event also answered general questions pertaining to admissions, scholarships and profile building.
Students from the Law School and the School of Humanities and Social Sciences participated in this one-hour-long session, along with alumni who are planning on applying for their graduate school.
The panelists included alumni, Muhammad Ali Ahmad (2017), Babar Taimoor, (2005) and Omer Aamir (2017). The session started off with introductions. The panelists also shared their candid experiences with the attendees to keep the session light-hearted all the while sharing their respective journeys with real-life examples. Students were given an insight into the ‘when, how, and what' of Master’s degree application procedures. Specific examples were shared to give the students a realistic timeline and requirements for pursuing their higher education.
The panelists also shared their respective email addresses and LinkedIn profiles so students may contact them if they have more questions.
