Daraz Conducted a Recruitment Drive for the Future Leadership Programme 2021
Daraz conducted a virtual recruitment drive on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 for the undergraduate students graduating in 2020 and 2021.
The session was initiated by Ms. Meena Lalwani, Manager Talent Acquisition at Daraz, who introduced herself and played a video about the culture of the company, the work environment and challenges they faced during COVID-19. She then invited Mr. Ehsan Saya, Managing Director at Daraz, who shared his experience and talked about the core values of the company.
Then, Ms. Minza Khalid, LUMS alumni and Regional HR Project Manager, shared her experience at Daraz and briefed the audience about the Daraz Future Leadership Program (DFLP). She stated that DFLP trainees have the chance to work at the pioneering e-commerce company and contribute to the disruption of Pakistan’s e-commerce landscape. Daraz provides its trainees with the opportunity to gain global experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and comprehensive technological learning.
She then discussed the salient features of the programme, explaining that the 18 month long programme consists of 6 month rotations across three different departments. Trainees receive in and out-house trainings, as well as management coaching and mentorship. They are also given the chance to be involved in high impact local and regional projects.
At the end, Ms. Khalid elaborated on the recruitment process, which includes online application, assessment centres, and interviews with the management.
