Excel World Pvt. Ltd. Partners with LUMS to Support the National Outreach Programme
Excel World Pvt. Ltd. has partnered with LUMS to support the National Outreach Programme (NOP). The collaboration was formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between Ms. Nasreen Kauser, Founding Member and Director, Excel World Pvt. Ltd., and Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor, LUMS, at a ceremony held on campus.
The event was also attended by Ms. Kauser’s sons, Mr. Ali Raza, CEO, Excel World and LUMS alumnus from the MBA Class of 2009, and Mr. S.M. Aurangzaib, Director, Excel World. Mr. Raza reaffirmed his deep commitment to giving back to his alma mater by establishing a scholarship honouring his mother. They were welcomed by Ms. Nuzhat Kamran, Director, Office of Advancement, and Mr. Anas Ashraf, Head of Development, Office of Advancement, at LUMS.
Mr. Raza spoke about the importance of taking this step to advance the company’s commitment to education, highlighting how this initiative reflects Excel World's broader mission of empowering future leaders. “As an alumnus, I feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to contribute to the National Outreach Programme," he said. "My mother encouraged me to give back to LUMS, the institution that shaped who I am today, and to support a talented, deserving student. I urge all alumni to step forward and help bridge this gap in society—making education accessible to students from all backgrounds is a cause we must all champion.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Cheema acknowledged the significance of such collaborations in advancing the University's mission to provide quality education to those who need it most, stating, “We are deeply grateful to you for establishing this scholarship in your mother's name. On behalf of our students, thank you for your generosity. These scholarships serve as a vital bridge, offering access to education for talented students. It is through the support of partners like you, especially alumni committed to giving back, that we can continue this important work.”
The NOP, launched in 2001, aligns with the University’s vision of offering premium education to talented students nationwide, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Programme won the prestigious Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Platinum Award 2021 for ‘Best Practices in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’, a prestigious recognition of excellence in educational advancement worldwide.
This partnership between LUMS and Excel World reflects a shared commitment to making world-class education accessible to students from all backgrounds, reaffirming both institutions' commitment to nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
