House of Habib Holds Session About its 'Mission Believe Management Trainee Programme'
House of Habib conducted a virtual recruitment drive for its 'Mission Believe Management Trainee Programme' on March 1, 2021. Students from the Class of 2021 with backgrounds in Accounting and Finance, Economics, and Business were the target audience.
Ms. Naila Khan, Group Director HR, initiated the session by playing a video of management trainees who shared their experiences of working at the company. She also shared that the House of Habib employs over 20,000 people who provide an array of products and services. “Our services range from automobiles to audio media, buildings to banking and computers to chemicals. Managing a vast network of public and private enterprises, House of Habib has equity and technical collaborations with British, Japanese, and Norwegian companies,” she said. Ms. Khan talked about the company culture, stating that it places great emphasis on decentralised professional management, resulting in a progressive and dynamic organisation. She strongly emphasised the core values of humility and respect, justice and integrity, entrepreneurship, teamwork, cleanliness, and optimum use of resources, which are upheld by the company.
She then invited the top management, including Mr. Salman Burney, Vice Chairman at Building Products; Mr. Ali Asghar Jamali, CEO of Indus Motor Company and Mr. Ahmed Shah Durrani, Head of Retail at Habib Metropolitan Bank Ltd., who shared their success stories, efforts, and experiences working at different companies under the umbrella of House of Habib. Ms. Khan also invited Mr. Taher Hussain Khan, a Certified Master Trainer from the University of Cambridge, UK who interacted with students and gave them useful tips regarding interview preparation.
At the end of the session, Ms. Hira Azhar, HR Business Partner, and TA Lead informed the audience about the recruitment process. Breaking down the steps, she stated that the candidates will need to go through an online application and assessment process, after which they will be called for an online screening interview. She added that after the assessment and a final interview, chosen candidates will be inducted in July 2021.
