Noon – The Social Learning Platform conducted a virtual recruitment drive on April 22, 2021 for BSc students graduating in 2021, with majors in Management Sciences, Accounting & Finance and Computer Science.
Mr. Raja Ali Nawaz, People Experience Lead, started the session with a brief introduction of himself and the company. He stated that Noon is one of the world’s fastest growing EdTech companies with an active user base of 10 million students. Currently, it operates in 8 countries, with primary focus on Middle East and Asia, and is planning to go global over the course of time. It is the largest EdTech company in Pakistan, with a user base of over 1 million students. The company aims to build the largest social learning platform to serve more than 50 million students globally by 2023.
Mr. Nawaz then explained the details of their Management Trainee Programme, and stated that it is the ideal programme for graduates looking for careers with a real purpose. It is an accelerated development programme that equips graduates with the knowledge, skills and attributes to move quickly into senior positions. He also shared application process and requirements.
Mr. Bazil Ahmed, Business Development Manager, Noon, and LUMS Alumni, then took over and talked about his experience at the company. He gave insights regarding the Business Development Department and its workings, stating that the department covers Supply, Sales, Partnerships, Customer Care and Pricing & Offering Design.
Then Mr. Abdul Ahad Ayub, Special Projects Manager, and LUMS Alumni, and Mr. Bilal Musharraf, VP Expansions, Noon, also shared their experiences and guided students regarding relevant departments.
The drive was then concluded with an interactive QnA session.
