Reckitt Benckiser Virtual Campus Drive 2021
Reckitt Benckiser (RB) held their League of Game Changers Pakistan recruitment drive on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in which they targeted Undergraduate and Master's students from the class of 2021 and 2022.
The session was started by Mr. Kashan Hasan, General Manager Pakistan, RB. He gave a detailed introduction of the Company, including statistics related to employees and their offices all over the world. He highlighted the three core business units; Health, Hygiene and Nutrition. He then emphasised their quick working style by stating how they manage to make over 32,000 Dettol bars every hour. Mr. Hasan also showed a glimpse of the Achievements of RB Pakistan, and talked about their guiding COMPASS, which enables them to stay true to their people and do the right thing.
Mr. Hasan called upon Mr. Humayun Farooq, Director Marketing at RB, to elaborate on COMPASS. Mr. Farooq began with an introduction of himself and his role at the Company, after which he stated how at RB, their main objective is to put the customers and the people first; the lives and needs of the people is kept at the heart of their business. He mentioned that during the onset of the pandemic, they gave care packages to their employees that contained essentials to get through the tough times. The other part of their guiding COMPASS is to seek out new opportunities. He discussed their collaboration with Ali Baba and Daraz to explore new opportunities and to make a difference.
Mr. Farooq stated that at RB, they believe in striving for excellence and building shared success, and have arranged different drives and campaigns to share their success with people. He reemphasised their belief in doing the right thing and stated that “Doing the right thing for the world is what is right for their business.” He also talked about their role in awareness through advertisement against COVID-19, and how they shifted their advertisements to awareness campaigns to help the community.
Moving ahead with the agenda, Mr. Farooq handed it over to Ms. Himra Mursil, Director Human Resource at RB, who shared more insights into RB Pakistan. She gave a brief introduction of the Leadership Team at RB, and then talked about their empowerment campaigns by stating that they have always stood at the forefront. She mentioned their empowerment projects, including Women on Wheels, Hoga Saaf Pakistan, POME Projects etc. She also shared a glimpse of their pre-COVID-19 activities and their online hiring after the situation. She then discussed their global exposure as their team is working across the continent to explore further.
Ms. Mursil handed it over to Ms. Zara Khan, LUMS Alumna and HR Business Partner, RB, who introduced herself and then shared the application procedure to apply for the RB Management Trainee and Internship Programmes. She explained how to tackle the challenges in Round 1, and imparted valuable details regarding different stages of the programme along with the timelines.
The drive concluded with an interactive QnA session.
