REDC and NEPRA Sign MOU for Capacity Building Programmes
The Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) at LUMS has signed an MoU with the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) for capacity building of its employees vying for promotions to the executive cadres. For this purpose, NEPRA staff will receive customised learning interventions by REDC over the course of three years.
Chairman, NEPRA and LUMS graduate (MBA 1996), Mr. Tauseef H. Farooqi signed the MoU with Vice Chancellor LUMS, Dr. Arshad Ahmad at a ceremony attended by the Rector LUMS, Mr. Shahid Hussain, REDC Faculty Director, Dr. Zain ul Abdin Khawaja, REDC Director, Ms. Aisha Azhar and Professor Emeritus, Dr. Jamshed Hasan Khan.
The contract with NEPRA was established through a rigorous process of bidding for the development of these specialised programmes, after which REDC and NEPRA signed a 3-year contract for customised executive development programmes for NEPRA employees.
The first in the series of programmes is a 2-week residential ‘General Management Programme’ running from November 29 to December 10 for a group of 25 participants. The programme will focus on key areas of leadership development, negotiation, decision-making, customer centricity, data analysis and communication skills development.
