SDSB Team Wins 3rd Place at the BFI Case Jam in Singapore
LUMS is proud to share that a delegation from the Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB) has secured 3rd place at the prestigious BFI Case Jam Competition, hosted at Singapore Management University (SMU).
The delegation included Areeba Sohail, Dua Sarfraz, Hashim Wyne, and Saad Tausif (Class of 2027), along with Hasnaat Safdar and Rafia Imran (Class of 2026). Out of 40 submissions from across the globe, three teams were shortlisted for the final round, with Sohail’s team securing the 3rd position. The rest of the delegation also made valuable contributions to their respective groups, taking on leadership roles in case structuring, financial analysis and presentations.

The BFI Case Jam brings together students from leading universities such as the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, the University of Melbourne and Universiti Teknologi Petronas. Representing more than 12 nationalities, participants were placed into cross-university teams and tasked with solving a complex case study within just five hours. The unique format tested their analytical skills, adaptability, teamwork and ability to perform under pressure.
The judging panel included experts from EY-Parthenon, SMU’s Business Families Faculty and Singaporean business leaders, who praised the creativity and depth of analysis demonstrated by the finalists.

This achievement is a proud milestone for LUMS, celebrating the talent, resilience and global spirit of SDSB students. We warmly congratulate the entire delegation for representing the University with excellence and making the LUMS community proud on the international stage.
