Shahid Hussain Foundation Announces Public Health Research Grant 2020
To support innovative research in Pakistan, the Shahid Hussain Foundation (SHF) is inviting proposals for its third cycle for Papers under the Public Health Research Grant 2020 worth PKR 4 million.
Through this Grant, the Foundation aims to support collaborations of practitioners and researchers to foster a culture of localised research and learning. The deadline to apply is July 23, 2020.
Areas of Research
A cost-benefit analysis of COVID response in Pakistan
Supporting healthcare through innovative research
Health Leadership – decision-making and autonomy in Pakistan’s hospitals
Heart Disease and Blood Pressure – patterns of disease in Pakistan
This year, the Foundation is also supporting research and innovation in Biomedical Engineering and thus proposals in this field are encouraged as well.
Who Should Apply?
The Foundation is looking for multi-disciplinary academic and professional teams who are affiliated with LUMS, Shalamar Institute of Health Sciences and/or Fatima Memorial Hospital.
How to Apply?
You will need to submit the following:
• 4 page Research Proposal including Research Questions, Methodology, Limitations and Scope of Work, with timelines over 12 months
• 2 page document outlining how this project is significant, innovative and impactful for the community
• CVs of team members
• Additional information that should include publication/patent stage, technological readiness (if applicable), and previous and current funding and Sustainability Plan.
The Grant will support up to 4 applications, strictly depending upon the number and quality of applications received.
