REDC Conducts Programme on Public Private Partnerships for KP Officers

The Rausing Executive Development Centre (REDC) concluded a high-level executive programme on 'Public Private Partnerships' for officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government.
The programme developed in collaboration with the Governance and Policy Project, KP, which was conducted in two modules, was designed to help the participants to develop an understanding of the varied contours of managing partnerships between public sector and privately owned entities.
Directed by Omair Haroon, the programme included topics related to financial management, cost and risk analysis, and financial risk and reward sharing in the context of large public sector institutions.
The programme was co-taught by Muhammad Junaid Ashraf, Aun R. Rizvi, Usman Tahir, Mustafa Shah, Rizwan Ahmad, and Huzefa Mazahir. Instructors of the programme employed case studies, experiential learning exercises, group activities and peer feedback to help participants to develop an understanding of the topics.
the participants appreciated the instructors’ efforts and the overall concept of the programme. “The classroom environment and REDC, in general, are excellent. This is a high-quality programme to learn public sector governance in an extremely competitive market,” commented Omair Khattak, General Manager, Tourism Department, KP.
Fahad Ikram Qazi, Director of Transport, Government of KP said, "This is an excellent programme for enhancing the skill set of civil servants and other public sector staff. Times are changing and the government needs to share the responsibility, revenues, and profits with entrepreneurs to ensure inclusive growth and development.”
