CSO Arranges Career Guidance Session by the Bank of Punjab

On October 27, 2022, the Career Services Office (CSO) at LUMS invited Syed Ghazanfar Ahmed Waqas, the Head of Instructional Design & Delivery at the Bank of Punjab to talk to students about planning their professional journey. Mr. Waqas talked about how students can start building a professional network before starting their careers and shared tips on effective networking.
Mr. Waqas highlighted the importance of having clarity of vision before making the right professional connections instead of randomly connecting with people. “Students should explore how they can solve a certain problem that exists. Once there is a clear vision and a solution to a problem, students should tap the right industry or network, and connect with a suitable mentor,” he suggested.
The session ended with students asking various questions related to professional networking. The highly interactive session shed light on how students from different backgrounds and majors can use their social circle for networking to build their careers.
