We look forward to welcoming you to Lahore next September!
September 25, 2026 to September 27, 2026
The conference will bring together scholars from all around the world whose work engages with Asia. Organised around the theme Centering Asia: Refiguring Connections, Recharting Futures, AAS-in-Asia 2026 invites proposals from scholars interested in contributing to this international conversation.
Call for Proposals Now Open!
Submission Deadline: November 13, 2025
The Programme Committee welcomes proposals for organised sessions and roundtables; no individual paper proposals will be considered. Interested scholars seeking to join or organise a panel proposal can use the AAS Community Forum to connect with other participants. All proposals must be submitted via the AAS-in-Asia website by November 13, 2025.
AAS and LUMS will provide letters of invitation for visa applications for all registered conference participants. In the event that a conference speaker cannot secure a visa or faces other travel restrictions that prevent them from participating in person, a hybrid presentation option will be available.
More information will be posted on the conference website as details are confirmed.
